Drop by Prime Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Prime Communications (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the Drop by Prime mobile application (the “App”). This policy applies specifically to the App. Our website privacy practices for www.primecomms.com are covered by a separate policy.

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1 Information We Collect

1.1 Account & Profile Information

Drop by Prime accounts are provisioned by Prime Communications based on your employment status — you cannot create an account yourself, and there is no public sign-up. To maintain your account, we collect information such as your name, employee or store identifier, email address, phone number, and job role/location within Prime Communications. This information is used to authenticate you and personalize the App, and is deactivated or removed when your employment ends or your access is revoked by an administrator.

1.2 Device Permissions — Collected Only When You Use the Related Feature

The App requests certain device permissions. We follow a purpose-limited, opt-in model: each permission is requested only at the moment you engage a feature that requires it, you are shown the native iOS permission prompt describing why it’s needed, and you may decline or later revoke any permission in your device Settings without losing access to the rest of the App (though the related feature will not function).

Permission What It’s Used For When It’s Requested
Push Notifications To alert you about ticket updates, rewards (PrimeBucks), schedule or task reminders, and other time-sensitive App activity. The first time a feature that sends alerts is used, or on first App launch.
Location (GPS) To support store/location-based features — for example, associating activity with the correct store location or providing location-relevant content. Only when you open a feature that is location-based (e.g., store check-in or location-aware content).
Microphone To support features that use voice input or audio capture, such as voice notes or media attachments within a support ticket or feedback submission. Only when you tap a feature that records audio.

We do not access these permissions in the background, and we do not collect location, microphone, or notification-related data for features you do not use.

1.3 Usage & Diagnostic Data

We automatically collect limited technical information when you use the App, such as device type, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and general usage/interaction data (e.g., which screens are used). This information helps us maintain, secure, and improve the App.

2 How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features (e.g., IT ticketing, rewards, scheduling).
  • Authenticate your account and secure access to Company systems.
  • Send you notifications relevant to features you use.
  • Enable location-based or audio-based features you choose to use.
  • Diagnose technical issues, improve performance, and prevent fraud or misuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use Location or Microphone data for advertising purposes.

3 How We Share Information

We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

Service Providers

With vendors who help us operate the App (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting), who are contractually limited to using data only to provide services to us.

Within Prime Communications

With relevant internal teams (e.g., IT Helpdesk, HR, store management) to resolve tickets, administer rewards, and manage employment-related functions.

Legal & Safety

When required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Prime Communications, our employees, or others.

Business Transfers

In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection under a comparable privacy policy.

We do not share your Location or Microphone data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

4 Your Choices & Controls

  • Permissions: You can grant, deny, or revoke Notification, Location, and Microphone access at any time via your device Settings > Drop by Prime.
  • Notifications: You may disable push notifications at the device level; some in-app alerts may still appear while the App is open.
  • Account Data: Contact your Company administrator or use the contact information below to request corrections to your account information.
  • Account Deletion: Because accounts are provisioned by Prime Communications based on employment status, individual users cannot self-delete their account within the App. Your account and associated personal data are deactivated and removed according to Company data retention practices when your employment ends. You may also request account deactivation or data deletion at any time by submitting an IT ticket within the App (Help/Support > Create Ticket) or by contacting us using the information below.

5 Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the App’s features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Usage and diagnostic data is generally retained for a shorter period unless needed for security or legal purposes. Location and Microphone data collected for a specific feature is retained only as long as needed for that feature’s function (e.g., to complete a ticket submission) and is not stored indefinitely.

6 Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7 Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for use by Prime Communications employees and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18.

8 Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to know what categories of information we have collected. California residents may exercise rights available under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and related California law by contacting us using the information below.

9 Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where required, provide additional notice (such as an in-app message) before changes take effect. Continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
